Osasuna vs Real Madrid 2-4

So just some thoughts then on Real’s latest victory against Osasuna away against a difficult atmosphere

A pretty exciting game overall, usually when Real Madrid rocks up against teams, the opposition tries to make the games boring, they sit deep, waste time, theres lots of recycled possession from Real Madrid but not too many clear cut chances created and as the game wears on Real Madrids great fitness starts to tell. This game wasn’t like that, there was a pretty frantic start of the game, and throughout the game there was space to be found and there was always a sense that a goal could happen at any time, I enjoyed this game. I thought both teams played the game in a good spirit although I wish Vini didn’t complain so much and got yet another needless yellow card, which will mean he is suspended for the next game.

Vini Jr continued his great form with 2 goals, the first was a lovely taken finish after great pressing from him, something I’m sure he learnt from the great Benzema who was a master of that, and his 2nd was another delicate finish, he really has become a killer in front of goal now, he’s been in great form this season, if he could cut out his bitching and whining, he’d be unstoppable

Very happy to see Diaz on the score sheet too, he’s the perfect replacement for Jude and I’m always happy to see him on the pitch

Fede with 3 assists today, masterful performance from him, he’s such a selfless player, a future captain

Carvajal’s goal was so nice, he is an underrated finisher of the ball

Rudiger great perform-ace, he’s arguably our most important player right now.

Disappointed the team concedes a goal after Fran Garcia entered, I really want him to succeed here, and whilst the goal wasn’t all on him at all, Modric didn’t track his runner, it did come down Garcia’s side of the pitch, and it isn’t the first time this season he has been substituted in and then the team concedes, I do worry for his future here whilst Carlo is around as I just don’t think Carlo fancies him much.

Great result as we head into another boring International break.
