Was great to see Guler start and score against Real Sociedad, it was quite a fun line up to see as we got to see players play who don’t play so often, Fran Garcia looked good, looked less nervy than his performances earlier on in the season, maybe he is getting used to RM now and the pressure that comes with it. Also great to see Militao back in the starting line up. And I always enjoy seeing Brahim Diaz play.

Moving onto predicting the Bayern starting 11 now, I don’t think he will start Militao, he might possibly have a chance of starting the 2nd leg, but I think after their impressive performances against Man City, it will be the Rudiger/ Nacho combination. Carvajal is unfortunately suspended for the game in Germany, so I suspect Lucas Vasquez will start, usually this would be a big blog losing the best RB in the world but Vasquez is in pretty great form right now which makes me feel less worried. The LB will of course be Mendy, Lunin in goal, no surprises there.

The midfield I think will be his favourite 4 of Valverde, Kroos, Tchouameni and Bellingham with Rodrygo and Vini up top. Not too much to say here, I just wanted to write this in case anyone wants to chat before the game. Historically Bayern has been a real difficult tie for us, so whilst their season isn’t going great, I can’t say I’m expecting an easy win here. Out of the 3 other teams left in the CL, I think Bayern are the strongest opponent we could have. I hope the team doesn’t go into this game too relaxed, thinking they knocked out Man City so they are already in the final.

Come on Madrid!!
