Real Madrid 5-0 Alaves

So I have recently left the country of Uruguay and moved to Brazil, were I will be staying for the next 3 months, this explains my absence for the previous week ( not that anyone is reading this blog to care anyway ) now onto RM stuff…

What a week huh, I last wrote about the upcoming game vs Bayern, and since then we have reached the final of the CL, beaten Granada and Alaves comfortably, welcomed back Courtois and Militao even more, seen a debut la liga appearance from a Castilla product, seen Guler play a lot more and keep scoring, seen Jude back to his goalscoring finest as-well.

To recap the Alaves game, was a fun, end of the season, party kind of game, lots of goals, not too much care paid to being defensively solid and yet still being able to keep a clean sheet. This was a game in which unfortunately for our possible future defender Rafa Marin, he wasn’t able to shine in.

There isn’t too much to discuss here as the usual things we come to expect from this RM team happened, Kroos controlled the game, Vini Jr and Rodrygo were afforded a lot of space and tormented the Alaves defense, Camavinga had another great game, Militao I think had his best showing since returning from his injury, although still looks off the pace, I’m not expecting him to start the CL final, as of now for me, Rudiger- Nacho should be the partnership for that game. Guler looked lively too, kid seems to have the magic touch right now, i’ve seen many players have this over the years from Jese to Asensio, so I’m not going to get carried away with huge praise and hype right now, I’ll just say I do hope to see more game time for him next season, he looks fun.

I haven’t written anything on the semi final victory over Bayern, and as its been a while since it happened I don’t want to write too much as most things have been said by now, but I will say I was so happy for Joselu, what a perfect season he has had, I hope he sticks around for another year. Also I really hope Modric stays too, he is still so important for us in these kind of games.

The players will be getting the next few days to rest up and relax, I have read that a mini preseason will begin for the players from May 21st to get them ready for the final. I sincerely hope Lunin gets the opportunity to play the final. He deserves it.
